We will not explain any more the saving of the images in the suitable Folders. In theory the subject should be understood!
We will explain here the difference in methods between version PSP 8 and the versions PSP X X1 X2.
Notice: PSP 8 methods can be done with all the versions.
Open your image: 7_3. Center the image to widen the frames.
Select Pan Tool. Why Pan Tool? To put the tools in neutral!
Set on : View: Grid.
To find the nodes on the vector layer : island,
click on + and then one click on the layer : grass.
Select PEN Tool.
We can modify the nodes.
Right click on the layer: island. Convert to Raster Layer.
Under Layer: Open new Vector Layer, name it: tree. OK
It is here that the fun starts.
Foreground: closed.
Background: Make a first choice in the color ring by selecting a brown color.
Personalize your choice by choosing a intermediate brown. OK
With PEN Tool: Draw Point To Point, usual configurations.
In Materials: Swap Materials
The color is in foreground (thus it is now the line color) and the background is closed.
In the configurations of the Pen tool:
Open the bar : Line Style options. Stroke Width: 5.00
Return in Tool Options.
Draw the contour of a tree and Close selected open contours.
The first node is the starting node and the other nodes appear where the arrow is clicked.
In Materials: Swap Materials .
If you do not like the color, click in the window to change
the color. OK
Let us not forget: each node has its hidden settings! Asymmetry, Cusp Symmetry and Smooth.
To easily find Curve before or Curve after on an angle (cusp)
First select the node.
With all the versions: Object > Node Type >Curve before or Curve after.
With PSP X : a right click on the node, Node Type > Curve before and Curve After.
We are on cusp, it is shaded, so choose according to your need: Curve before or Curve after.
Here: I choose: Curve before and curve the form.
And with Curve after, curve the form.
Modify your nodes.
This method should already be understood.
Here are some modifications.
To add a node on a form
With CTRL key held down, position the cursor on the edge
of the form, at the place where you want to add a node.
(When you see a +Add) click to add a node.
This node is modifiable like the others.
To remove a node on a form
To select the node:
With All Versions of PSP: Object > Edit > merge
With PSPX: A click right-sided on a node: Edit > Merge.
For : Select None
With all the versions: Choose: Selection > Select None.
With PSPX: Apply.
Save the image.
At this window: Would you like to Continue? Yes!
Windows, Duplicate.
Then close the image : 7_3
At this window: Would you like to Continue? Yes!
