Open on the desk, a tile, an image or a photograph.
For the lesson I use these two images.
Reduce the image.
To make a tile easily.
Open a new image of 100 by 100 pixels.
Raster Background.
Choose a color.
OK
With Paint Brush, Shape : Round.
Size 12, Hardness 100,
Step 10, Density 100,
Thickness 100, Rotation 0, Opacity 100
In foreground, choose a color.
Draw a line.
Draw another line with a different color.
Under : Effects>Reflection Effects>Kaleidoscope.
Click on Randomized Parameters.
Make your choice.
OK
Reduce the image.
Open an image of 400 by 400 pixels.
Raster Background.
Transparent, checked.
OK.
Select: Preset Shape.
Click in Shape list.
Choose the curved arrow or an arrow.
Retain style : Checked
Anti-alias and Create as vector: Checked
The other configurations are left on default.
Move cursor towards the line for a right arrow.
A movement towards the left for a left arrow.
Or from the bottom move upward.
We can make a rotation.
Select PEN Tool, find the nodes, and modify,
as needed.
In the layer palette : Select the vector copy.
Delete the copy with icon X red
or
A right click on the layer and choose : delete.
Select: Presets Shape.
Retain style:
Line style: straight. Width : 4.00
Open foreground.
With a left click of the mouse in the Rainbow window,
take a red color with the dropper.
Background.
With the right-sided of the mouse in the Rainbow
window,
take a blue color with the dropper.
Draw an arrow.
Notice : a new vector layer is added.
It is another way to open a vector layer.
We can name it by double
clicking on the layer.
Select : PEN Tool.
Here : it is possible to change the color of the feature
there to place a pattern, a gradient or an image and
play with a node.
Close : Foreground.
In background, we can place a color, a gradient
or a pattern.
Example with an image open on the desk.
By choosing a pattern we will find that our image is there.
Select the image.
We can modify the angle and the scale. OK
It is possible to move the nodes, add, remove
and curve the form.
Delete the vector layer.
Select : Symmetric Shape>Polygon.
Draw a Polygon.
(With PSPX1)
Number off sides: Try : 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 etc.
[PSP8 There are preset polygons but we can’t change the number of sides. ]
To modify the polygon.
A click on image: Convert to Path
[ In version 8: Click on the polygon layer or shape tool to
reactivate
the vector, then click on the pen tool.]
Select PEN tool to modify the nodes, the curve, colors, etc
Convert to Raster layer.
Select : Symmetry shape. Draw a Star.
Choose a Number of sides.
[Can not do this in Version 8.]
Line Style: Dotted line.
A click in the image. Convert to Path.
[ In version 8: Click on the Star layer or shape tool to
reactivate the vector,
then click on the pen tool.]
Select PEN Tool to configure with your taste!
Convert to Raster layer.
