Hello!
To do this work the vectorial one should be known.
I use the software Paint Shop Pro X. Work is realizable with the former versions.
We will study the gradient.
Here the zip file: canzip, including 4 images in psp.
Open the image: can1
Duplicate the image.
Save the new image and name it: mycan
It is on this one that we will work.
Close the original: can1

Capture 1
The image is composed of 5 layers.
The layer: 1 can body The layer: 2 base The layer: 3 edge A (on bottom)
The layer: 4 edge B
(on can body ) The layer: 5 top
.
Select the layer: 2 base to make it active.
Make: Selection, Select all, Selection, Float. The selection moves

Capture 2
1 In your Material window, Select : Foreground
2 In Material properties, Select: Gradient, Angle : 90 , Repeats : 0 , Invert : Not checked
3 Click on : Edit.

1 Click on: New.
2 Write in space: 1can
3 Click on : OK

Capture 4
The name of the Gradient is now in the Types box.
You have in the color bar, a Gradient by default.
Under this color bar, there are pots of painting.
For the exercise we need 14 of them

To add a pot: Click under the color bar, and you will have another pot of painting.
To change the color of this one: Click in the window framed in green and make your choice.
To remove a pot of painting: Select the pot of painting and slip it in top in the color bar. It will disappear!
In the Capture 5 : Colors used for my Gradient and the position of the pots..
You must reproduce them !

The Finished Gradient,
Click on: Close Red arrow Capture 4
Go now to your floating selection. Select, in the toolbar: flood fill tool Fill the selection with
the Gradient. Deselect.
